I am finally the proud auntie of a brand new beautiful baby girl named Lyla Jean Rindon! Mommy Jena and Daddy Charlie brought little Lyla into this world August 14th at 8:12 p.m. She was an itty bitty 5lbs 13oz and 19inches long. She has a gorgeous blond curls and blue eyes! She is adorable and her cousins Lillie and Paige can't wait to play! Congratulations Jena and Charlie! You did a great job!

Updates!

Recently we found out our little Lillie has Vesicoureteral Reflux. Google it. : ) Usually your kidneys drain into your bladder...the end. But with the reflux some of the urine comes back up into the kidneys and can cause infections and eventually scarring and more scary things. But we seem to have found out in time, her kidneys seem good. They grade the reflux on a scale of 1 to 5. 5 being the worst. She is a 3. So they are giving her a 50/50 chance of it correcting itself as she grows. So in the mean time, she is on daily medication to prevent an infection and we are going back in six months to retest to see if she has had any improvement. So I just wanted to keep all of our family and friends updated on how she is! She is doing great!

Also an update on McKenzi. I heard today from my sister-in-law that she is doing great, they have her on some medication and they will be watching her closely and hoping for the best! So thanks to everyone for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers! It really works!!

5 things I learned last weekend........

5. Having a color coded list of priorities does not necessarily guarantee that anything will actually get done.
4. Birthday shopping for your soon-to-be-four-year-old daughter is not as easy as it sounds.
3. Jessica and Nick. Bad combo for getting anything done unless it involves useless things like eating out, spending money, watching movies, naps. Things of that nature.
2. Four month old babies do not understand the concept of "the weekend". As a matter of fact....they don't get the concept of "nights" either.
1. Despite being 20 years older than the so-called "recommended age group" for the slip-n-slide....it is surprisingly fun to throw yourself on the ground with nothing but a thin layer of plastic and a little water there to catch you.

A little divine intervention.....

I got a call yesterday from my big brother in Texas that my 3 1/2 year old niece McKenzi is not doing very well. She suffers from a condition where she gets AVM's in her brain (basically they an abnormal collection of blood cells), and they found more. She had surgery about two years ago to remove a few and has gone through so much at such a young age. We would all appreciate it enormously if everyone would please keep her in their thoughts and prayers. I have faith that the doctors here at the Phoenix Children's Hospital will have better news than the doctors she has been seeing in Texas. They saved her life the first time, and I am confident they will now as well! So please send all your prayers to my beautiful neice and her family and let's all hope for a miracle!!!

We're Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. Finally. Things are finally starting to get settled down for us. We are almost all unpacked...not to say I don't have PLENTY of decorating to do. But for the most part our lives are falling into a comfortable routine. Routine? Boring you say? No way. I know my days are jammed packed full of craziness. From the moment I wake up....to the moment I pass out from exhaustion there is never a dull second. But here are a few pics I took of the girls the last few days.....I got a lot of catching up to do!

Still MIA.......

Again I have to apologize for my lack of time spent on our "blog". Things have been crazy for us! We just moved in mid June into our awesome new house. We have so much extra room it is unreal! Though I will be sure to purchase plenty of stuff so that we can be nice and cluttered like we are used to. Much to Nick's dismay. : ) (Come on! I am a woman, it is in my genetic makeup to spend money and buy unnecessary products!) Our new house is great, the girls have their own rooms, plus a playroom so there is never a lack of things to do for them. I will post some pics soon.

Speaking of which, I finally ordered a new camera cord. I gave up on trying to locate the impossible missing cord. I swear someone stole it! I am pretty organized. It couldn't possibly be my fault. : )

Lillie is doing great. She had gotten sick last month right before the move, she came down with a fever of 102.5 for a few days and we finally found out she had a kidney infection. She took all her medicine and is now feeling much better! Her pediatrician would like her to undergo a few tests though to rule out any possible problems with her urinary tract. So unfortunately next month she will have to go to the hospital for a few tests, nothing too bad, just uncomfortable. But I am sure she will be just fine! They just have to rule out anything being wrong with the way her kidneys and urinary tract function, to make sure it is nothing that formed incorrectly. Other than that little issue she is amazing! She is getting ginormous! More than 2 feet tall and 14lbs as of a few weeks ago, which I am sure she has gained a ton by now. She is super strong and able to roll all over and she also recently discovered that she loves the taste of her fingers and her toes! Another thing she has discovered is that binkies are just not as good as her thumb! A habit I had hoped would not catch on, but hey it makes her happy! She is also sleeping pretty consistently through the night which I am LOVING! Finally a decent nights rest.....

Or not. Actually since we have moved Paige has decided to go ahead and resume getting up at 3am to "hang out". She always does this at her Grandma Gaby's, but not at home. But I think the new place and all the changes she has been going through is making her think that 3am is a good a time as any to hop in mom and dad's bed and watch some good ol' t.v. Sometimes I catch her watching t.v. and she never woke me up! Who knows how long she was sneakin in some t.v. time! But she is doing awesome, and is super happy with the new house and loving the grass and sprinklers. We also recently started our "home schooling" with our pre-k learning activity books and she has done great with learning to write and following directions. We hope to enroll her in preschool this fall. She is just my little genius!

As for me and Nick, we are great too. He is ecstatic he just bought himself a car. It's "cherry" in his words. A good ol' Honda Civic. But hey I won't protest to him loving older cars. Means we don't have to go buy new ones for the both of us! We both are doing great, loving life, raising kids, and enjoying every moment. So I hope this helps keep everyone updated, until next time!

Forgive me everyone!!

Forgive my lack of posts on here! Since we are in the process of moving I have managed to lose my cord to download all my pictures.....so I have plenty....so bear with me! I know I have been slackin.

But things are good, the kids are great! Lillie seems to be teething (already I know!) and is starting to get the hang of the whole sleep-at-night, be-awake-in-the-daytime "thing". : ) Paige is also doing fantastic! She has adjusted well to having a little sister and loves helping give Lillie a bath and brushing her hair. She is going to be four in just a few short months and can't wait!

Well I hope to update the pictures very soon, like I said packing and preparing to move has been quite interesting and I hope to find the camera cord soon! When I do be ready for pictures galore! : )
