Plus I really didn't know what I was doing when I started this blog in the first place ie: why my name was the url...Any who friends and family change your links and here we go!

My, I have raised a comedian.

Paige is possibly the most hilarious four year old child I think I have ever met. Will ever meet for that matter! She tells me the most amazingly imaginative stories, and has a joke for all occasions. Why just this morning I wasn't feeling well, so Nick fed the girls breakfast while I stayed in bed praying for my migrane to subside. I was getting ready for work, not too happy because of the migrane of course, and I asked her what she had for breakfast. She replied, "Uh....ummm...I can't remember what it's called." So I asked, "Cereal? Waffles?" She said, "Cereal....but what's the word? You know the round kind...shaped like a circle? Like Lillie's head?" Where I instantly cracked up! "You mean Apple Jacks?" I said. "Yes! The round one! Like Lillie and my head!" Now could anyone be cuter than my Tator Tot?!

Party Time!

I have to appoligize for not posting Paige's birthday party pics...well when it was her birthday! But here are a few random ones for all of your viewing pleasure. I don't have any super cute/fancy ones....I am trying to get Nick to buy me a fancy camera so I can take some nice pictures! But until then, enjoy!

I am finally the proud auntie of a brand new beautiful baby girl named Lyla Jean Rindon! Mommy Jena and Daddy Charlie brought little Lyla into this world August 14th at 8:12 p.m. She was an itty bitty 5lbs 13oz and 19inches long. She has a gorgeous blond curls and blue eyes! She is adorable and her cousins Lillie and Paige can't wait to play! Congratulations Jena and Charlie! You did a great job!

Updates!

Recently we found out our little Lillie has Vesicoureteral Reflux. Google it. : ) Usually your kidneys drain into your bladder...the end. But with the reflux some of the urine comes back up into the kidneys and can cause infections and eventually scarring and more scary things. But we seem to have found out in time, her kidneys seem good. They grade the reflux on a scale of 1 to 5. 5 being the worst. She is a 3. So they are giving her a 50/50 chance of it correcting itself as she grows. So in the mean time, she is on daily medication to prevent an infection and we are going back in six months to retest to see if she has had any improvement. So I just wanted to keep all of our family and friends updated on how she is! She is doing great!

Also an update on McKenzi. I heard today from my sister-in-law that she is doing great, they have her on some medication and they will be watching her closely and hoping for the best! So thanks to everyone for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers! It really works!!

5 things I learned last weekend........

5. Having a color coded list of priorities does not necessarily guarantee that anything will actually get done.
4. Birthday shopping for your soon-to-be-four-year-old daughter is not as easy as it sounds.
3. Jessica and Nick. Bad combo for getting anything done unless it involves useless things like eating out, spending money, watching movies, naps. Things of that nature.
2. Four month old babies do not understand the concept of "the weekend". As a matter of fact....they don't get the concept of "nights" either.
1. Despite being 20 years older than the so-called "recommended age group" for the slip-n-slide....it is surprisingly fun to throw yourself on the ground with nothing but a thin layer of plastic and a little water there to catch you.

A little divine intervention.....

I got a call yesterday from my big brother in Texas that my 3 1/2 year old niece McKenzi is not doing very well. She suffers from a condition where she gets AVM's in her brain (basically they an abnormal collection of blood cells), and they found more. She had surgery about two years ago to remove a few and has gone through so much at such a young age. We would all appreciate it enormously if everyone would please keep her in their thoughts and prayers. I have faith that the doctors here at the Phoenix Children's Hospital will have better news than the doctors she has been seeing in Texas. They saved her life the first time, and I am confident they will now as well! So please send all your prayers to my beautiful neice and her family and let's all hope for a miracle!!!

We're Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. Finally. Things are finally starting to get settled down for us. We are almost all unpacked...not to say I don't have PLENTY of decorating to do. But for the most part our lives are falling into a comfortable routine. Routine? Boring you say? No way. I know my days are jammed packed full of craziness. From the moment I wake up....to the moment I pass out from exhaustion there is never a dull second. But here are a few pics I took of the girls the last few days.....I got a lot of catching up to do!

Still MIA.......

Again I have to apologize for my lack of time spent on our "blog". Things have been crazy for us! We just moved in mid June into our awesome new house. We have so much extra room it is unreal! Though I will be sure to purchase plenty of stuff so that we can be nice and cluttered like we are used to. Much to Nick's dismay. : ) (Come on! I am a woman, it is in my genetic makeup to spend money and buy unnecessary products!) Our new house is great, the girls have their own rooms, plus a playroom so there is never a lack of things to do for them. I will post some pics soon.

Speaking of which, I finally ordered a new camera cord. I gave up on trying to locate the impossible missing cord. I swear someone stole it! I am pretty organized. It couldn't possibly be my fault. : )

Lillie is doing great. She had gotten sick last month right before the move, she came down with a fever of 102.5 for a few days and we finally found out she had a kidney infection. She took all her medicine and is now feeling much better! Her pediatrician would like her to undergo a few tests though to rule out any possible problems with her urinary tract. So unfortunately next month she will have to go to the hospital for a few tests, nothing too bad, just uncomfortable. But I am sure she will be just fine! They just have to rule out anything being wrong with the way her kidneys and urinary tract function, to make sure it is nothing that formed incorrectly. Other than that little issue she is amazing! She is getting ginormous! More than 2 feet tall and 14lbs as of a few weeks ago, which I am sure she has gained a ton by now. She is super strong and able to roll all over and she also recently discovered that she loves the taste of her fingers and her toes! Another thing she has discovered is that binkies are just not as good as her thumb! A habit I had hoped would not catch on, but hey it makes her happy! She is also sleeping pretty consistently through the night which I am LOVING! Finally a decent nights rest.....

Or not. Actually since we have moved Paige has decided to go ahead and resume getting up at 3am to "hang out". She always does this at her Grandma Gaby's, but not at home. But I think the new place and all the changes she has been going through is making her think that 3am is a good a time as any to hop in mom and dad's bed and watch some good ol' t.v. Sometimes I catch her watching t.v. and she never woke me up! Who knows how long she was sneakin in some t.v. time! But she is doing awesome, and is super happy with the new house and loving the grass and sprinklers. We also recently started our "home schooling" with our pre-k learning activity books and she has done great with learning to write and following directions. We hope to enroll her in preschool this fall. She is just my little genius!

As for me and Nick, we are great too. He is ecstatic he just bought himself a car. It's "cherry" in his words. A good ol' Honda Civic. But hey I won't protest to him loving older cars. Means we don't have to go buy new ones for the both of us! We both are doing great, loving life, raising kids, and enjoying every moment. So I hope this helps keep everyone updated, until next time!

Forgive me everyone!!

Forgive my lack of posts on here! Since we are in the process of moving I have managed to lose my cord to download all my pictures.....so I have plenty....so bear with me! I know I have been slackin.

But things are good, the kids are great! Lillie seems to be teething (already I know!) and is starting to get the hang of the whole sleep-at-night, be-awake-in-the-daytime "thing". : ) Paige is also doing fantastic! She has adjusted well to having a little sister and loves helping give Lillie a bath and brushing her hair. She is going to be four in just a few short months and can't wait!

Well I hope to update the pictures very soon, like I said packing and preparing to move has been quite interesting and I hope to find the camera cord soon! When I do be ready for pictures galore! : )

Growing up so fast!

Lillie is just growing up so fast. She is still a skinny mini but she is definately gaining a ton! You just can't really tell cause she is growing tall faster than she is gaining. None of her little PJ's fit her anymore, and she is growing so tall so fast we can hardly keep up with buying her new clothes! But trust me, I do a great job shopping to keep up! But she is getting such a little personality and check out those cheeks!! How can you not fall in love??!!

My brown eyed gi...wait...my blue eyed...wait...

So Lillian has decided to be a little different than all the other new babies in town, and have some crazy colored eyes! At first we just thought that they were changing from blue to brown, since everyone knows most babies are born with blue eyes anyway. But then we noticed only her right eye was a brown color on the bottom half and the left just kept on keepin on with the blue! We are still waiting to see if they will stay like this, her pediatrician says she may just have two different colored eyes. I have been doing my research (thank you internet!) and it could be Sectoral Heterochromia....but unfortunately I am no doctor so I can not make the final diagnosis! There are sometimes underlying causes for this, but I am sure my baby girl is just fine and just different! At her next appointment we shall find out a little more about all this, but for now she is our beautiful brown/blue eyed girl!

Hey mom! Wanna play!

The other night Paige asked if I wanted to play with the dolls from her dollhouse. I said sure thinking she would just bring out the dolls....A few minutes later out she came with the dolls and everything else that came with the dollhouse....in her shorts!! Guess she figured it was a easy way to carry all that stuff!!

Wecome Lillian Grace!

Early morning Tuesday, March 11 at 4:25 a.m. we welcomed Lillian Grace Dawson into our family! She was a whoppin 7 lbs. 5 oz and 20.75 inches tall! She came without any complications and hardly even cried! They gave her right over and she just stared at mommy and was perfectly content. She has beautiful big blue eyes (we're keeping our fingers crossed that she keeps daddy's eyes!) and dark brown hair. Kinda mullet like, business up front, party in the back! Big sister Paige got to meet her that evening and was very excited to finally have the baby out of mommy's tummy. She is always the great helper, but is just wondering when will we get leave the baby with the doctor?
